Many sexual health concerns have a physical dimension: hormones, nerve function, pelvic floor, medication side effects, etc. Sexual medicine is the specialty that treats the medical aspects of sexual problems — and the sexual aspects of medical problems. It brings real clinical tools to concerns that most providers skip past: labs, imaging, prescriptions, and a genuine understanding of sexual physiology.
I'm Dr. Lori Davis, a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with specialized training in sexual medicine. I consider the whole person — your body, your history, your hormones — because sex involves your whole sef.

Menopause affects your whole life — not just your sex life. And too often, the medical system leaves you to figure it out alone. Hot flashes, sleepless nights, mood shifts, brain fog, painful sex. It's a lot, and it's real. You deserve care that actually takes it seriously.
I offer dedicated, evidence-based menopause care for NY and VT residents.

About me
Sexual concerns rarely have just one root. Pain with sex often carries anxiety alongside it. Low desire may involve hormones and relationship dynamics. ED can be physical, psychological, or both.
I bring specialized training in both sexual medicine and sex counseling because real resolution often requires both. When your concern has a psychological or relational layer, that work is part of how I treat you. Not as an add-on, but because addressing the full picture is what actually gets you where you want to go.
When your goals are less about resolving a specific concern and more about transforming your sexual connection and relationship dynamic as a couple, that's what the Intimacy and Relationship Path is built for.

Don't settle for less. Let's work together to figure out what is getting in the way.
Your first appointment is 50 minutes. Before we meet you'll complete a detailed intake form covering your health history, medications, and what's been going on. That gives us a head start so we can use our time well.
Together we'll review your history, talk through your experience, and begin to understand what's contributing to what you're dealing with. Sometimes a physical exam is helpful, particularly with pain concerns. Labs or other studies may be recommended.
From there we'll discuss possible approaches, review options, and make a plan together. There's no rushing to conclusions. You set the pace.
After your appointment you'll have access to the client portal for follow up questions until your next visit.
Initial consultations are $450 and follow-up appointments are $275. I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. I can provide a superbill after each appointment that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement, depending on your plan. Medications I prescribe are covered by most private insurance plans.
Yes. I am licensed to prescribe medications for clients living in New York and Vermont. Medications prescribed by me are covered by private insurance per your individual policy. Medications prescribed by me are not covered by Medicare or Medicaid as they do not accept out of network providers.
Yes. I can order labs and radiology studies for clients in New York and Vermont. In most cases, labs are covered by insurance, though I cannot guarantee coverage. If I recommend labs that may not be covered, I'll review the costs with you beforehand. All costs for labs and radiology are determined by your insurance company.
Depending on your concern, a physical exam may be helpful. The most common reason I recommend one is for sexual pain, where a pelvic exam helps provide a diagnosis and guide treatment. Whether an exam is appropriate is always determined on a case-by-case basis, with your input.
Yes. I offer a feminist, trauma-sensitive exam approach. You are in charge, and your experience is my primary concern. This means taking the exam slowly, checking in frequently, and building in time afterward to support nervous system regulation. On a practical level, all exams are performed on a soft massage table — no stirrups, no crinkly paper, cloth sheets only. If you have special needs or concerns beforehand, please reach out and we'll discuss them before your appointment.
